Chapter
American Foundry Society
The
Chapter welcomes you to this web site where it is hoped that you will
find its contents useful and informative.
The Chapter
traces its heritage back to 1892 with a beginning in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
as the Philadelphia Foundrymen's Association. Many tons of metal have
been cast since that day with too many stories to tell and it is with
pride that we stand here today carrying on the traditions of the generations
which came before us.
We produce castings with indescribable
beauty which enhance our everyday lives, which keep our industries strong and we produce castings which
have an indispensable part of mankind's most destructive weapons. We
like to do the former type but to keep our country strong we must also
do the latter.
